The Sona Hill deposit is located 4.9 km southeast of the Toroparu Deposit. It was discovered from regional saprolite geochemical surveys conducted in 2012 and 2013. Subsequent drilling in 2015 and 2016 delineated a shallow lode-gold vein mineralized system dipping westerly toward Toroparu.
